For guideline authors and publishers
Your guideline in practice,
with evidence of its impact.
Interactive pathways that reference your published guideline, with data on clinical use and patient outcomes returned to you.

Usage and outcome data for patients treated on your guideline, returned to the guideline owner.
The challenges
- Guidelines are often accessed as static documents at the point of care. Updates may not reach every service promptly, and guideline owners receive limited evidence on how recommendations perform in practice.
- Large language models learn guidelines as static training data from a point in time. An update to your guideline does not reach the model until its next training update.
- Evidence chatbots built on your guidelines do not give consistent advice, summarising different information each time they are asked.
- Critical information is lost. No tool returns real-time data on the outcomes of patients treated on your guideline after you make an update.
Capabilities for guideline owners
01 · LIVING GUIDELINES
A feedback loop for your guideline Available
Every pathway decision is recorded against the patient, providing usage, dwell time and branch data and, with the agreement of participating services, length of stay, readmission and risk of hospital admission for patients treated on your guideline, linked to each decision path and patient cohort. Identify which recommendations are followed, where clinicians hesitate, and which patient groups have poorer outcomes on the standard protocol.
- Editors dashboard heat map of decision paths against outcomes, by patient cohort
- Pathway use, dwell time and branch data to inform your next update
- Questions that take longer than five seconds flagged for rewording

02 · STAYING CURRENT
Automated guideline consistency checks
Every pathway built from your guideline is compared nightly with your current published version, with sentence-level differences logged and affected branches flagged for review. After the March 2025 Therapeutic Guidelines release, 27% of one health service's pathways were updated within weeks.

03 · YOUR EXPERTS IN THE LOOP
Expert review before publication
Your nominated reviewers sit on the shared review panel and are notified before content built from your guideline reaches clinical use. Every decision tree built from your guidelines is also openly peer reviewed: anyone on the Clinical Branches platform can review it and comment, widening the feedback you receive on your guideline. The owner responds in context, and the panel and outcome data support consensus on each update, which publishes as a new pathway version.

04 · LINKED TO YOUR GUIDELINE
Every page linked to your published guideline
Pathways reference the published version of your guideline rather than replacing it, with your guideline named as the source on every page built from it, so clinicians are directed back to your publication. Where content is licensed, access can be limited to licensed services.
- Your guideline named as the source on every page built from it
- Attribution kept through every local variant
- Access limited to licensed services where required

05 · PATHWAY GENERATION
Draft pathways generated from your guidelines
The pathway generator converts your guidelines, from a single document to a complete collection, into draft interactive pathways, with authors choosing how much of the structure to define. Generated content is reviewed before clinical use, and clinicians can raise content issues through a feedback forum on each pathway.
